I just went back and read my first gchat of all time.

September 14, 2007. [Happy 23rd birthday, cousin Cory]. My convo was with Eric, and we talked about “this singer/rapper from Sri Lanka” named M.I.A., this “way cool” music video by this band called Battles, the sold out Arcade Fire concert in Lehi, our co-workers Charity, Kendrick and Gabriel at LiveText, my BFF Hanalei applying to the Communications program, and how “the new version of Word I’m on in the LRC is so confusing,” and just how we could go about getting our hands on that new Animal Collective song called “Fireworks.”

So last decade. So thankful for on-the-record gchats.

I’m excited for the day I look back to 2010 and laugh at how I posted this Camera Obscura song on January 15th that says “Oooh, I’m feeling older.”

“Haha,” I will chuckle. “I was so young.”
